Future Warrior is a US Army program to develop and conceptualize new technologies for the US Military in the coming years. Land Warrior is a program integrating advanced camera and sensor systems with a soldier's rifle and an eyepiece mounted to their helmet. Future Force Warrior 2010 is primary program within Future Warrior, bringing advances in computer, body armor, and sensor technologies to increase both the effectiveness of an individual soldier and their unit as a whole. Innovations include brining the soldier's armor further off their body to lessen injury from the impact of a stopped bullet, increasing the overall modularity of the soldier's gear, and integrating biosensors with the soldier's gear to provide more information to medics. Future Warrior 2020 is a concept of technologies that may emerge by 2020, including a suit fully sealed off from biochemical weapons, lighter and more effective armor using nanotechnology, and powered exoskeletons to provide superhuman strength and endurance.
